I rated this series 3 stars because I feel that this series is really confusing. I understand that the author was rebranding, but some of the titles no longer match to what’s supposed to be there. I enjoyed reading them, but like I said there seems to be a lot of confusion over titles and it jumps from one characters view to another with the same story being regurgitated from the other characters point of view. I think that if you are going to rebrand a series, you should go back through and retitle everything in the books that you changed the titles to on Amazon and Goodreads.Product details

I have been reading this series for the past two days and find myself not able to put it down. There is humor, action and a well told love story triangle. However, if you are a person like me that has to have order, you may not want to get involved. I do not know who edited these books but it is terrible!! There are so many missing words, typos and mispellings that it is hard to believe this ever went to press this way. Definitely could give the "Twilight' series a run for it's money. I just hope that they get these errors worked out and do a reprint.
HT has a way of writing love stories that are neither erotica nor erotic but very beautiful in the purest sense of the word love. His characters face every day issues - well everyday for them but then they are vampires and werewolves. The Boxed Set takes us through the budding friendship of Josiah and Lena as Josiah saves Lena from a gang of frat house thugs and winds up being bitten by a vampire to a love that will transcend everything they have known. A good read with a lot of growing up and coming of age twists and turns that make these books a must for readers of all ages. Box Set Vampire Love Story Series (Four paranormal romance novels)
I have to say it took me a couple books to get going in this series, but after finishing all 5, I'm hooked and eagerly awaiting the next installments, which apparently are coming in Feb and March of '11. I ended up liking Tommy's prequel book the best. I was really surprised to find the books written from the first person MALE point of view, definately a different perspective in this genre (the author is also male). I'm not good at coming up with book synopsis, so I'll let others do that. The story is as good as several other big-name authors I read, a real bargain at the kindle price I got it. Hope the author makes some money on the next installments!
The character dialogue is very readable and enjoyable, the different personalities are well drawn. Lena might be the blandest although her storyline is finally picking up so we'll see how it goes. I'm docking a star because the editing is horrible. Honestly, MS Word has spell and grammar check that would have caught 98% of this author's mistakes. Stuff like wrong punctuation, quotes in the wrong places, misspellings, badly worded sentences detract from the story.

If you've read anything else by H.T. Night and enjoyed it, I urge you to buy this boxed set! If you're new to this author and enjoy vampires, werewolves, or any kind if creatures of the night, books, I urge you to buy this boxed set. H.T. Night has very quickly become a favorite of mine. His tales are so creative and unique and always leave you wanting more. While his books tend to be very easy and quick reads, do not mistake that for lack if quality or quantity. The main characters are so real to me and come alive page after page! Do yourself a pleasant favor and treat yourself to Night's books. I don't think you'll regret that decision in anyway. I sure haven't!!
I got the box set of the first four novels in the series. It was a great deal for four books. I really enjoyed the series and even bought two other books in the series. It's very creative and different from other stories I've read of vampires and werewolves. He created his own spin on the paranormal world which I think is great he didn't just go with what's already out there. He came up with something unique and interesting. Josiah's world is turned upside down when he runs into and rescues an old classmate who hangs around people whom he soon learns are vampires. Little does he know that his life is about to get really complicated in so many ways. Along for the ride is his best friend Tommy who has some secrets of his own. Both are thrown into a different world that existed alongside of ours. The writing is good and really has you relating to these characters and wanting to find out more.
The books are definitely worth a read. I read a couple of negative reviews and I just think for the price you can't go wrong. This is a boxed set for $2.99! Most of these indie books have some grammar/proofeading errors. I can easily look past it. And the writer is new on the scene. Give him some time to grow and get experience. This is the age of independent publishing where everything isn't overly polished and picked over a zillion times by an editor.
So...the vampires have a more "Lost Boys" vibe in this series. I think the author's got his own unique twist on the genre. I quickly read the first 3 books in the box set and was kind of annoyed with the cliffhanger that didn't continue until book 5 (which isn't included here). So I just bought book 5 and am reading that. I'll have to go back to book 4 in this set, Werewolf Love Story, when I'm done. So I guess that is a good indicator of what I think of the books. I would read more from this author and I would recommend to others. I do agree with what one person said about the Lena character. I don't think the relationship with her was quite fleshed out enough and I didn't feel very drawn to her as a character or the passion between her and Josiah. But overall, I enjoyed them all.
