Her husband was killed in an explosion doing his job with ATF. Now Chad must see if he can pick up the pieces of what he feels for Dani, and see if he can convince her to do the same. But this all plays out as a mission develops for the Saints Protection Agency concerning terrorism, subterfuge, traitors and loyalty. The story provides intrigue, mystery and love. It's satisfying to see the Saints and their women together and happy. It's great to see them work as a team even when frustration and confusion bites at their heels. Daniel and Chad are great together. Their honesty, dedication and sacrifice for each other is rewarding. The story focuses on them, but provides an interesting and fascinating plot revolving around the terror of our times. Well done and a great read.Product details

This is another great series from Maryann Jordan. I am glad that Chad and Dani got their second chance for their HEA. I liked that everything was not smooth sailing and they had some obstacles to overcome. My one problem with the books is that there are way too many "f-words" and it is not necessary. I have been around military men and they just did not, nor did their girlfriends/wife's, throw that word around in ordinary conversation. Yes, when you are in a stressful situation the words gets used, but when it is over used it then becomes crude. I hate to see strong Alpha males and their equally strong women be crude.
Do you believe in second chances? Do you believe things happen for a reason? If you answered yes to either question you will like if not love this book. In this the sixth installment of Ms. Jordan's "Saints" series you met Chad the gentle giant and Dani the girl who got away.
In this book Dani loses her first husband who was a friend of Chad's. They met again at the funeral and the timing is still not right for them. Three months later they run into each other and this time all lines up to start them down the road of Saints true love.
As with all the books of this series, Ms. Jordan keeps the reader at the edge of their seat, in revealing the mystery, the love affair and the friendships of all the Saints. She also leaves the reader wanting more. More Saints, more romance, just more. Good thing we do not have to wait long for the next installment.

Dani and Chad didn't have a chance to profess their love for each other before Dani`s unplanned pregnancy and marriage to their friend Adam. After Adam's death by terrorists, Chad pledges to protect Dani and her unborn child with his life, hoping to have his love for her accepted. Dani`s life is threatened and it takes the whole Saints team to rescue her. This book includes sexual situations and language that would not be appropriate for young readers.
Another awesome book by Maryann. Love the Saints and their stories. Dani and Chad knew and worked with each other previously. They had a third person in their group Adam. Chad was deployed and came back to find Dani and Adam married. He left again. He came back after Adam was killed. He talked to Dani but things were still rough. Chad had always loved her. He became part of the Saints. Weird things started happening to Dani. She moved, started a new job but things were still happening. Chad and the Saints help her out. The men of the Saints and their ladies are so wonderful throughout everything. Love these characters and love the ending.

I will be honest and say that 9 times out of 10 when I see in a book description that the book is about a second chance romance, I am very wary and often times do not read it. THIS BOOK IS MOST DEFINITELY AN EXCEPTION TO MY RULE!
Maryann has avoided all of the dreaded second chance romance traps. While she allows you to see enough of the past to understand where here characters are going with their futures she is not making them carrier around spare baggage. I love that her characters are mature enough to address the situation and acknowledge that it was in the past and then move on.
I had to grab the tissues at two points in the book, yes I can admit that I cried. As with all of her books will absolutely love this one and it will leave you waiting impatiently for the next one.
A second chance story with an underling story that'll open your eyes to a relevant issue in today's world. Chad thought he missed his chance with Dani when he didn't let her know how he felt before he went overseas for a 6 month stint but when Dani's husband and Chad's best friend dies he sees his chance especially after he learns their marriage wasn't what he thought.
This story has the Saints investigating an Isis cell in VA where Dani maybe caught in the middle.
Maryann Jordan once again writes a great story but also an important one with an underlining message that not only hit close to me but is so relevant into today's world!

Maryann's books are always really Good, but Chad and Dani were special.
The depth and development of characters that Maryann gives to all of her books makes her
one of The Top Romance/Suspence writers in my opinion.
I don't want to spoil this wonderful book for anyone. If you have read any of Maryann's books then you don't want to miss this one. If you are looking for a Great author, then you have found her.
I highly recommend this book to everyone.
